Which do you guys think is better? Why? I used to own both, am thinking about buying one or the other.

CZ. Better trigger, more reliable, more holsters.

I am leaning toward the CZ but the Witness has more caliber options.

I have a 38 Super Witness. Very accurate and nice SA trigger. But some 38 super rounds (that are within COAL for 38 Super) will not feed out of the magazine. For $325 NIB with 3 mags I can't complain. But I can't shoot WWB either.

I'm with 87GN on this one. I own 3 CZ's and 1 Witness (10mm)

The only Witness that I used to own was a 10MM. I bought it because I didn't want to wear out my Delta Elite.

Ditto and Ditto except for the reason that I have a Witness 10mm is because CZ does not make one or that is what I have. I like the Witness but it is just not the same pistol as my CZs.

CZ. The Witnesses are not as consistantly reliable, nor do they work as consistantly out of the box as the CZs do.

I might consider the Witness if I wanted a 10mm (which CZ does not make), but otherwise get the CZ.

+1

I wanted a 10mm, so I bought the Witness. After buying my CZ-75SA 9mm, I feel the CZ is head & shoulders above the EAA in quality. Factory customer service with CZ is also MUCH better than EAA too.

Down here, the Tanfoglio has a reputation of being a good, expensive handgun. The CZ is a middle-priced, excellent handgun.

I'd personally go with the CZ.

Tangfolios are more expensive there then CZs?

That's odd, it's reversed here.

I own both . The CZ is much smoother trigger pull then the witness, feels better in the hand. I have a CZ-75B model.  I would advise the CZ over the witness.

Is it the TZ-75 as opposed to the Witness?

I had a Witness in 9mm.  Loved it but the ex decided she wanted to keep it in the split-up (I consider myself lucky that was the only firearm she wanted of mine).  I got a CZ-75b to replace it and love it even more.  Higher quality, never any failures (had a couple with the Witness) and just as accurate if not more so.

Get a CZ and you won't be disappointed.
