I ordered a SIG-LOC optic cut slide for my P365 since they were on sale for $250 and I had a 15% off warranty registration code. So I got the slide for $227 OTD. When I eventually put an optic on it, I’ll have the option for either RMS-c footprint or the SIG-LOC footprint. So my questions to the SIG Sauer hive are: 1) Do you think other manufacturers will mill their slides for SIG-LOC? 2) Would you mount an optic with RMS-c footprint or would you mount a Romeo X SIG-LOC optic on it? |

Non-Sig gun companies won't mill their slides for it until more optics come out, and non-Sig optics companies won't make optics for it until more guns offer the cut. The Sig optics that use it are not wildly popular enough to drive demand alone either. |

I don't know the answer to your first question, it's a math problem of economic viability and I would say the math is not there yet based on the optic landscape today, but that's a guess. For SIG, I would think it's a great selling point to government contracts where they can bundle gun, optic, ammo, etc. blending prices to close deals. To answer your second question, I am very interested in the Sig P365 Flux which comes with the Sig-Loc slide and at least one package has the optic included. I like the idea of Sig Loc for that platform in particular -- with the brace deployed it is certainly putting more of a load on the optic and how it is mounted. Outside of that, Sig Loc is definitely a nice to have. Hope SIG makes a green dot soon as that would sway me more. |

I know SIG has been selling the SIG-LOC P365 slide assemblies separately for a couple months now, but I'm curious if anyone has seen or heard of complete XMACRO, XL, or X pistols with that optic footprint yet. I'm considering finally buying a XMACRO but want to wait for the SIG-LOC version. I'm guessing they'll be offering SIG-LOC optic / slide combos eventually, but I'd also be interested if anyone's seen SKUs for those listed somewhere yet. I plan to update my XL but would like to get the optic combo since it's usually cheaper than buying the slide and optic separately. Thanks! |

I picked up a P365 XMacro Comp in the last month that is cut for the Sig Loc optics. Came with extra mounting hardware for the regular Romeo compact optics too. Not sure when it was manufactured though. I ordered a Sig Loc optic yesterday for it. Hoping it shows up before Thanksgiving. |

I was able to buy the slide from SIG and put the optic on a while back. It’s tough as nails. Put ~ 500 rounds through it. No Issues. Attached File |

Will it catch on? Who knows but I kind of doubt it with all the Sig hate these days? That and other manufactures usually aren't that keen on incorporating features known by their competitors name. I think the Aimpoint COA mount probably has a better chance of catching on even though I think Sig-Loc is superior? I've been saying this for years now but IMO, one of the things that's holding the pistol optics market behind is the lack of standardized mounting system. I hope some day we get to a point where every new pistol and every new optic with uses the same optic cut/mount but I'm not holding my breath on that one. So that said, If I was in you... I would definitely get a Romeo X Enclosed with the Sig-Loc mount because its one of the best optics out there with the absolutely best mounting system currently available. Get the best option you can now and don't worry about what may or may not be available down the road. |
