| I have a USP Tact. in .45. I have 2 10-rounders and 2 12-rounders that I paid 50 bucks a piece for. Well, it'ss been sitting up for awhile since ammo's been so expensive. Yesterday I loaded up two of the 12-rounders with UMC bulk FMJ's. One of the mags kept FTF. The other mag ran fine. I'm wondering what the chances are of me having a bad magazine. I would really hate this since they're so damned expensive. I'd probably try to see if HK will replace it if that were the case. The only reason I even think this a possibilty is I had one of the 12-rounders loaded ror about a week straight. |

I've never had any problems keeping my 12 round mags loaded for weeks/months. It certainly isn't normal for that to cause malfunctions. The only regular problem I'm aware of is for the slide not to lock open after the last round, and that is usually with 10 round mags. You should probably see if HK will replace it.

I have had mags loaded for a year and still functioned fine it is usually when I rotate my ammo in my backup surplus loaded mags (Glock,1911's,Sig's,AR's) I would get with H7K or go get some Wolf springs rated at +10% in power. http://www.gunsprings.com/Semi-Auto%20Pistols/HECKLER%20%26%20KOCH/USP/cID1/mID26/dID136#167
