Hi All,

I took my AG dated USP in .45 to the range today. Firing went off w/o a hitch. I broke the pistol down and cleaned it. When I re-assembled it,I noticed that the slide will not lock back on an empty mag. All other functions are fine, but the slide release will not pop up to trap the slide. The pistol is not new,but was lightly used when I got it (I've put about 200 rounds through it). Could I have re-assemled improperly? I've looked over the manual several times and don't see anything wrong. TIA,

                                                                              Denny R

OK,problem is gone. I swtched mags and pulled the slide back smartly(as opposed to wimpily!) and she locked fine. Now every mag locks fine. Could I have a bad mag or slide release spring?

                                        Thanks,

USPf 45 mags have issues with underpowered mag springs.
HK has known about it for YEARS.
The solution is Wolff +10 mag springs.

Switched mags and problem went away....sounds like a bad mag.  Try using a good mag then switch to the "bad one".  If it fails, switch to a diff. mag.  If that one works use the bad mag for range  (or send to me)
