I just watched the Barry ill competition and noticed there weren't any Performance Center 1911s with the Slide Ported Lighting Cuts. Are they legal or not preferred or?

Slide and barrel porting aren't legal for Single Stack.

Kind of makes you wonder what S&W was thinking.

I always find it funny how most 'competition ready' pistols sold are something that NOBODY would use in a competition.

Umm, maybe that there's a market for 1911s outside of USPSA .  As much as we'd like to believe otherwise, guns sold for USPSA competitions are a very small segment of the overall handgun, or even 1911, market.

Umm, maybe that there's a market for 1911s outside of USPSA .  As much as we'd like to believe otherwise, guns sold for USPSA competitions are a very small segment of the overall handgun, or even 1911, market.


I guess you could always use it in L10 division if you wanted to.
