What is your preferred trigger pull for your handgun(s)? Not necessarily what you have, but your preference? Carry handgun(s): Competition handgun(s): |
Keep in mind this is strictly a target/bullseye gun. Mag only holds 5rds of .38spl WC. I admit it took getting used to. I ALWAYS make people dry fire it first so they see how light the trigger is before they shoot it. 2lbs is WAY too light for a CCL, IMO. A lawyer would immediately raise the "hair trigger" question on an unknowledgeable jury. Too much risk. |
I've settled on 3 lbs.... I'm going to use it there for IDPA.... |

As long as it's creep free and crisp, a few extra pounds don't seem to bother me. For target shooting, of course, the lighter the better. Overall, I'd rather have a crisp 4 or 5 lb. let off than a creepy 3 lb. pull. I used to insist on "hair triggers" on almost everything but have become somewhat more realistic to my actual needs. Looking back on some guns buried in the safe I "tinkered" with in the mid '80s, I find them too light for general use anymore, let alone any legal ramifications they may cause. Sorry Prof, a simple question, an overboard reply. |
No problemo.... I just got mine back "glass rod 3 lbs."...... Sweeeeet! Shot in an IDPA competition today....excellent results. |
