A friend is unloading a Taurus .357, model 627 w/6" barrel in stainless.  I've shot it and it's perfectly servicable.  Accurate with a clean trigger pull in both DA and SA.  He's had it about a year, but recently had his golf clubs stolen, so he needs some cash quick.  He's asking $200.  What's the going rate for one of these?

The 24th Edition of the Blue Book of Gun Values (last year's edition) lists it at $280 in 98% condition and $210 in 95% condition.  Hope that helps you!

It is a great gun at a great price.  I like mine, with the only difference being it is blued.  I love it at the silhouette range.  Accurate as hell, even with .38's.

(Offer him $175)  I'd buy it for $175, and it is probably the last thing I need right now....

I agree, offer him $175.00  A gun shop would offer him lesshinking.gif

Thanks for the info, everyone.  $175 sealed the deal.
