I have this retro Tasco tube sight with the "stainless" finish. Although it is cosmetically in very nice shape, with a nice bright dot, and adjustments that work smoothly and positively, there is nasty haze on the inside of the objective lens. When sunlight hits it at the right angle, it is very distracting, verging on making the sight unusable. I have tried to remove the lens to clean the back side, and even managed to spin out the lock ring (which is turned with a spanner via two notches 180 degrees apart), but the lens is apparently sealed or cemented in place, and I have no means of removing it, and really I don't know what the R&R procedure might be, let alone the correct tools. I realize this is something of a stretch, but does anyone have a suggestion of who might be able to service and clean the lenses so I can mount and make use of it? These sights are in somewhat collectible status, so I am reluctant to just dump it. Also, the only alternative would be another used sight, or a new unit, all of which are made in China.
