I cant find info on the short reset model, or why it's cheaper than standard.
Is it better, and does it still have double action?

Have you specifically read that SR stands for short reset?  

A Google search shows they attach that to the versions without a manual safety, as all G3XL & G3X are.  As well as the no manual safety version of the G3C.

A confused girl said it's "stainless rear"
Said their internal documents say frame is stainless on xl and alloy on their models. And she did seem very confused… The conversation took a half hour.
