I went in to a local fun store today to pick up a Springfield Loaded Ultra Compact (PX9161LP) and noticed they had a 4" Lightweight Champion Operator (PX9115LP) sitting there. Now I had my mind made up, but after seeing this I back to square one. The few reviews I've read about the Champion sound good. Anyone here have any experience with it. I plan on using this as my CCW, so how would the rail effect holster choices, if at all?

I just sold an unfired SA Lightweight Champion Operator to Shooters. Give them a call.

I bet they'll want an arm and a leg for it

Good choice.  With 1911's 4" or greater FTW.

Just something to check, make sure it feeds HP's that you want to use.  Mine will feed Cor-Bon's but not Magtechs or cheapy (but available) Fiocchi hollow points with Hornady XTPs.

I went out and put about 20 rounds of Gold Dot's through it. Then some cheap UMC FMJ. No problems with either. I may try some golden sabre's through it, but if it feeds gold dots I imagine it will feed almost any since they are almost square nosed.

Does this have any MIM parts in it?
