So I ran across a Springfield 1911 in a pawn shop, but I'm having difficulty figuring out what model it is and if it's a good price or not.  Any help would be appreciated.

Full size 1911
Full length guide rod
Mag well (looks factory)
Beavertail grip safety
Commander Hammer
Lightened Trigger

It kind of looks like a TRP, but doesn't have the mark on the rear of the slide and I didn't know if that was something they've always done or if that's new.  And the TRP grips are missing in lieu of some pachmayers or hogues.

For $699, it seems like a deal (it's in pretty good shape,) but I would prefer to know that the features are factory.

Thanks guys.

Yeah, pretty sure all TRPs are marked as such on the back of the slide.  FLGR one piece or two?  Also, N or NM serial #?

If they'll let you, write the serial # down and call Springfield for the build sheet on it.

Sounds like a "Loaded" model, IMO.

Pics would've been nice............

Sounds like a Loaded model that someone slapped a magwell and grips on.

Not quite a great price for a used one. They can be found for $750ish new.

That pistol should be $650 otd max, in good shape.
