Any smiths on here?
I have a colt slide that is giving me problems. The barrel starts into battery before the slide gets far enough forward. Kind of hard to measure but it seems like there is about .015 more distance between the top of the barrel and the inside of the slide compared to my other 1911. Of course this locks up the gun. If I point the slide up, it will work everytime. Gravity seems to help. Pointing down jams every time. The barrel lugs seem kind of beat up and the slide locking lugs are not much better. Bought this cheap several years ago at a gun show. Would like to get it set up but how do I fix this? Is it fix able? Thanks |
