I’ve had my P365 Fuse with Romeo X sight for about seven months.  Had it to the range a couple of times to zero the optic, and then shoot for average defense distances (3-25 yards).  From reading the instruction manual, the optic is supposed to “go to sleep” after two minutes and “wake up” when it senses motion.

My problem is that the optic doesn’t wake up…I’ve tried twisting it, shaking it, slow draw, quick draw…nothing works.  What am I doing wrong here?

crank down hard on the battery cap , make sure it's super tight

I have two of them and encountered a similar problem with the second one.  Optic would not wake up unless I shook it vigorously, like a can of spray paint. Called Sig and they eventually replaced it under warranty.

Later versions have the spec on the cap, 10 inch pounds.

the ones with the torque rating are the newer re designed caps i believe

if you have an older x sight without the torque rating cap and did a battery change this is exactly what you might encounter after the battery change , the sight would turn on and work fine but it would not "wake up"

That would explain how Sig handled my situation which seemed odd at the time.

When I first sent it in, they returned the same optic back with the newer battery cap.  However, even after tightening the cap to spec, the problem was worse.  With the new cap, it would sleep and not wake up at all.  I contacted Sig and that’s when they replaced the entire optic.  I can only speculate that in my case the motion detector was failing.

I received a shipping label from SIG to send it back, under warranty.  Anxious to see what they actually do with it.
