| When i get some time i plan on finding my digital camera and taking some better pictures than my iphone ones. It is surprisingly very hard to take a good picture of a firearm to show all its details, after trying to do it ive realized some of the ones in this thread are works of art with the difficulty of taking a good one. |

The new bodyguard on page 1-sorry-doesn't do it for me. I know they work pretty well and are therefore good solid tools but they are missing lots of the essence of

This won't be the prettiest revolver in this thread, but it holds a place near and dear to my heart. I found this gun when I was 7-8 years old on the side of a country road while I was walking in a March of Dimes walkathon. I was one of the smaller kids and was at the ass end of the pack, so a whole lot of kids had already walked right by it. It was in a rotted leather holster and was so rusted that the cylinder wouldn't open. I wrapped it up in a flannel shirt I had on and dumped it at the foot of our driveway, since the walkathon was on the same road I lived on. My dad turned it in to the Sheriff and they ran whatever checks they did back in those pre-computer days. I guess nothing came up, because they gave it back to my dad a few weeks later. My dad wrote to Smith and Wesson and they sent him a schematic for the gun. He and a friend soaked it to remove the rust, cleaned it up, then stripped and reassembled it. The outside looks rough, you can still see pitting from where it was rusted, but the chambers and barrel were fine and the gun shoots great. Here it is, SW Model 28 Highway Patrolman....

I picked up these two Smiths a couple of weeks ago. The first is a 13-3 3" round butt, and the next is a 66-4 2.5". I got them home and tried my hand at taking some decent pics.
I still need to detail clean the guns, but they are in pretty nice shape IMHO. And the best part was the price at $200.00 each. I also picked up a pair of 66-5s for my dad and brother for Christmas gifts at $250 each. 13-3

.455 First Model (Triple Lock) rechambered to .45 Colt. Been reblued too, but not too badly polished.

I don't know who's fingers fit S&W finger groove grips, but they ain't mine. So I embarked on a project to make a pair fit. My goal was to make them as functional as possible for my hand.
Fortunately, I didn't worry about cosmetic appearance. I gave them a light oak stain, then a little mix of bee's wax and orange oil. Right
