You will use a Gen3 G19 RSA (OEM or aftermarket) and a Gen5 barrel (remember Gen3 G17, G34 & G17L barrels don't work in a Gen3 G19 frame). Remember the failed G49? Now you make your own for pennies (maybe not pennies, but not a lot). Have a PSA Dagger S frame and want to make a G47 size gun without using the PSA Dagger X or C slide? This is for you! The difference between this version and the version that Lone Wolf used to sell is the Lone Wolf version required a non-standard RSA due to the differences in the Gen3 and Gen5 barrels that required a longer RSA. This lets you use a stock RSA. I ordered the Gen 5 version a few years ago and it worked well. Good build quality and quick shipping with a few magazines I picked up at the same time. |

I’ve seen other companies as well as similar China parts on eBay and I’m pretty sure I’ve seen Gen 5 on there. Not taking anything away from RC or LW for that matter but putting pat pending on something doesn’t mean it’s patented. LW has been making these since the Gen 4s came out back in 2010. If they don’t have a patent on it by now, I doubt they ever well. I also don’t see how you can patent a spacer, that is literally all it is. I recall a similar product for 1911s dust covers back in the 90s when long slide 1911s started gaining in popularity. https://lonewolfdist.com/lwd-slide-adapter-gen4-to-gen4/ The person that is going to win the internets is the one who comes up with a locking block/rail kit that allows us to use shorter slides on frames with longer dust covers. I’d love to have a G17 frame with a G19 slide and PMM comp that is flush fit or a 26 slide on a 19 frame with a flush comp. If you were using a gen 3 g17 slide on a gen 3 g19 frame, you would have to use a Gen 5 g17 barrel which would require a non-standard length rsa. The Rocket City stippling gen 3 engine 5 adapters step it down to the shorter size rsa, that matches the frame you're using. It's a lot easier to use a standard RSA then what Lone Wolf offered because the custom spring guide rod that they offered was also never in stock. |
