I recently upgraded my 20lbs factory main spring with a Wolff 16lbs for my 92FS. I'm still not satisfied with the weight of the DA trigger pull. Is there anyone out there who makes lighter main springs? I'm thinking maybe a 13lbs or 14lbs is where I want to be. However, I don't know if this will give me reliable primer ignition. Please keep in mind this is not a duty weapon. I use it strictly for IPSC/USPSA Production matches. Thanks for the help.

Try a Wolff 15lb to 19lb 1911 main spring.  I run a 15lb Wolff 1911 spring in my wifes 92G Vertec which with the other trigger work I've done to it has yielded a very crisp 3lb SA and 6.5ish lb DA pull.  It lights off factory Winchester, CCI and Federal ammo with no problems with 800 rounds so far.  This gun is strickly a range/game gun as well.  Once I get a holster for it I want to use it for SSP div in IDPA, my 92G Elite cycles to damn slow for me.  Pretty much if you stick to Winchester or Federal factory ammo you won't have too much problem and you can go really light on the spring.  If you reload use Federal primers.
