Took the new series 80 Combat Commander I brought last week back to the range today. Put 300 rounds through her (250 rounds of 230 grain Magtech and WWB ammo as well as 50 rounds of 185 grain PMC hollow points). I even found a handful of some Wolf FMJ and she ate those without a problem too  So far this girl is running like a dream and my confidence in the 1911 is building. Between last week and today that's 500 rounds of various ammo with a FTF or FTE. And I haven't clean it yet either!For my first Colt in 38 years I'm loving this gun so far  At 20 yards she is putting everything on paper but just a bit to the left. Had the rangemaster try it and he said I needed to bang the rear sight over just a bit. He recommended a brass punch. Does that sound about right? I don't want to be scratching this gun at all. P.S. This gun is really making me want to get a micro 1911 for carry. Are they really that bad? |
