Proving once again I have too much time on my hands & no social life, I wonder about the following things. Feel free to add y'alls...............

What if H&K announced they would be making some Luger replicas identical to the original?

What if H&K also made said replicas in both 9mm as well as .22LR?

What if H&K sold every replica Luger they made & then announced they would then do a Broomhandle in both 9mm & .22LR?

I use H&K as they're about the only major German mfgr these days. I discount Korth, who makes the $5k .357mag revolvers.

Wishful thinking, I know.

Step away from the keyboard, but keep sipping that Jack & Coke.

But it's a nice dream, as well as US Made HK 91s 93s and 94s.

You forgot one important detail, H&K does not care about non military or LEO. Secondly if they did they would probably charge $5-6,000 for one. Now if someone knew where to find the old Swiss tooling Mauser used in the 70's it would be possible to make them again. I am not holding my breath though!

The problem with an HK Luger repop is that it would be as expensive as a perfect, unfired original Artillery Model.

Besides HK there is SIG Sauer in Eckernförde, quite impressive as a handgun factory. I've been inside.

What about Walther? I guess that Umarex would be the first to go into any promising business venture but I don't know if I would like a polymer  frame on a Pistole 08...

You might get lucky, though, if your pockets are deep enough.

Believe it or not, our Chinese comrades at Norinco were able to make a working Luger.  But they did not put them into production.

I wish they would.
