I have read it here before but my search function doesn't seem to be working today I don't know what is up. Anyway I beleive I have read before that the only difference in Glock 17 and 22 magazines is the follower. The body is the same besides the fact that the 17 says it holds 17 rounds of 9mm. So can I buy 40 caliber followers , put them in my 17 magazines and hold 15 rounds of 40?

On a side note I have loaded 12 rounds of 40 into a 17 mag and it run flawlessly but I wouldn't trust my life to it.

Not a good idea. The mags are not the same. The feed lips are wider on the 40 then the 9mm.

I would just get the correct mags for the caliber you are shooting....
