My son traded for a 9c at a Gunshow today, we noticed that if you slightly retract the slide (around 1/8") it will stay there and not return fully to battery.
Thoughts?

Is it new? My Shield did that, until I clean/lubed and racked it a bit.

make sure the guide rod is installed properly. I had this issue on a 9 shield once after a cleaning and come to find out it was the guide rod not seated properly.
