I did another one for our 4th kid...I used a full Nighthawk Custom parts kit in 9mm. This was by far the most labor intensive 1911 build I've done (#10); probably because Nighthawk takes pride in custom fitment. I Cerakoted the frame Coyote and the slide FDE. It runs beautifully with the Rugged Obsidian. I just need to install a new pin kit because I forgot I left some old ones in the frame. Attached File |

Yes a Nighthawk build is much more labor intensive. I found out the hard way on my second build. I learned a lot. But wouldn’t recommend it for someone just getting into building 1911’s. I’ve got a nice set of reamers now…… |
