I had a CZ 40P back in the day. It was a general purpose gun for me. I sold it after I got a VP9. I was currently devoid of a suitable bedside gun, the VP9 being long gone, and saw that P320's, M17 and M18's were selling for dirt on the used market. This led me also to Turkish CZ clones and this CZ. Thankfully, due to the P-09 Nocturne, the previous versions are currently being dumped as well while the Turkish Tanfoglio CZ clones are selling for more than they should. Those are the ones I always remember. Anyway, I was pleasantly surprised to see that it has those photo luminescent night sights. Some people don't like them, but I think that they're great. The gun itself was clean, scratch free, and had little wear...although for some reason the previous owner did not clean the slide rails. I'll let that one go. I'll probably smash these ProMags with a hammer to save the world from the disappointment and frustration. |

WTF anyone would buy Promag shit quality when you can buy OEM CZ or Mecgar twins to the OEM at J. Cote for cheap! I did just buy some close out P07 OEM .22 rimfire Kadet mags at Midway for $26 ea. The close out price was pretty good. The P07 is a nice gun, and it does shoot accurately. |

I didn't realize it until I saw that one of the mags was dinged up. What the hell would ding up a magazine???! Oh, it's a piece of shit.  It's one of the best I'd say. I think that I'd prefer a P-01, but not in this economy  (I'm actually currently paying down some debt).I have three other guns I could put in my night stand. One is a '96 vintage Beretta 92 Centurion. That has no light provision and should someone wrongfully aquire it, it would be difficult to replace. Another is a frame up 1911 build. That is irreplaceable to me and also has no light rail. Finally is my original Polymer 80 kit gun and that does have a light, but there's no way I'm leaving that in a night stand. That has also been my favorite shooter to date. We'll have to see if the CZ will dethrone it. |

Buddy had a P-07 and I liked shooting it, along with his 75. Got me wanting a CZ, so I eventually bought a P-01 for carrying. @dmk0210 I've thought about a threaded barrel for my P-01. Where did you get yours, and how does it run with a can? |

| I took this to the range yesterday. It ran flawlessly and was bad-ass to shoot. The sights come right back on target for me in recoil and I was able to shoot this thing fast and accurately...probably better than anything else I currently own. My now aging eyes picked up the three dots easily which easily kept me in the center zone of my target. I'm extremely satisfied. This is probably the best $350 I've ever spent. |

They are a bargain for sure! You did quite well. I bought mine new, three mags in the box and iirc it was around $450. I qualified with it as a back up gun at work for giggles but a few guys shot it that day and everyone liked it and shot accurately. The original P07 had a less strong polymer and a few owners had them actually break. They revised the frame molding and polymer blend. Iirc the old one was the P07 Duty and the latter one dropped the Duty moniker. I actually was shopping for a P01 or a PCR but liked this when the shop had neither of those. I already had a Blue Shadow2 and now a full Kadet pistol. Oh and I bought the Kadet top end .22 kit for the P07. After some break in it runs. Initially it wouldn’t get through a ten round mag without stopping. That P07 with the .22 kit is fun for getting some BS “training” in. I can used my regular holster with it but like many, it’s a bedside gun with a light on it most of the time. Out in town running errands I swap it with the 43x in the safe and the swap back after I’m home. I used to take advantage of the old CZ first responder/veterans discount program but they offloaded it to a midwest retailer to operate and it became rather cumbersome. Still don’t have an alloy frame CZ P01 and likely won’t bother at this stage. |
