| Back in the late 90's I bought a P226 .40 cal. I sold it a while back, but I'm pretty sure it was made in Germany. I've been looking at the MK25 and the new P226 X Legion models. Are the current P226 models made in Germany or the US? |

My understanding is that the folded slides were made in Germany, the milled slides in the US. As yours was a .40, it was a millled slide and thus US. The frames may be either, but I think all are US these days. I have a ‘94 P229, a ‘98 P229 and I believe a ‘09 P226. Well like most things.... get both! lol. You really can't go wrong with the Mk25 or the Legion models. I have a SAO Legion p226. It is a fun gun to shoot and I really like the trigger update. I have heard of the US vs Germany debate but I don't know if that is still true today or if it even had any weight at the time when it "mattered." |
