Are they any good? I typically carry and use Wilson's––however I found out I can order some of these for $20 each and thought about trying one or some?

Thanks in advance

I have 2 Nighthawk 1911's, I use Tripp Research Cobra magazines. Check out their website at  Tripp Research and call and order some , you'll love 'em.        P.S. those Nighthawk $20 blued ones are probably ACT mags from Italy.

Is that good or bad? Italian made M9 mags are the ONLY ones I will use

The Italian ACT mags Nighthawk uses are very good quality, I have 4 of them. I also have 6 of the Wolff/ACT mags that are flush 7 rounders with the welded floor plates and they have been very good also. They can be ordered off the Wolff Gun Springs website.

The ACT/Novak mags (which are what NH used a few years ago and may still use) are fairly good mags.  They will work reliably until the feed lips ultimately crack.  I could time it - right around 2,000 rounds they would die.  I had at least a half-dozen I used as range mags and they all died the same way.   The feed lips near the back of th mag would crack.  First you'd get an occasional FTF from it and then ultimately they would send the follower and spring downrange when the feedlips spread even further.

They don't have long-term longevity, but they will work reliably.  While they are more fragile than Wilson and Tripp mags, they are also considerably cheaper... or at least used to be.  Don't know what they go for now, but they used to be somewhere between $15-19 a pop.

I consider them solid range mags or a decent choice for carry mags so long as you aren't too rough on them.
