Are there Taurus Millenium Pro Owners out here? What do you think of it? I'm considering one in 9mm to replace my Walther PPK/S for daily carry. |
|
I had a PT111 Mil Pro. Brand new, 10 rounds later the front sight fell off, two mags in the slide lock failed. Sent it off to taurus and got it back almost 4 months later. Front sight fell off soon again. Probably put 300 rounds through it without a problem FTF or FTE. Sold it. |
| i have a millenium pro in 40 s&W, never had a fte or ftf but it does shoot low by about 8" at 20 yds. it also seems very particular about the brand of ammo used. it doesn't group well with most of the cheaper ammo. check out www.taurusarmed.net for more info. if i had it to do again i would have went with a stoeger cougar, or coughed up the money to get a springfield or glock. just my 2cents. |

I have had mine, in stainless, for about 2 years. I think I have cleaned it once. Dropped in the dirt, more than once. I use it up at my piece of land in Southern Utah, very dusty, high desert terrain. Most of the time, it walk around with it in the back pocket of my jeans, sweat and dirt don't seem to affect it much. Shoots pretty well for me. The trigger is ok, not great. Accuracy is ok. I like the size, and fit of it in my hands. I wear an XL sized glove, kinda long fingers. For the money, not a bad deal. I guess some folks have had issues. I did alot of research when I bought it, found a few complaints, many who liked them. |
| I own the PT111-pro 9mm and have beat the shit out of it and still not 1 problem. I love the size and feel of it. It's no target pistol but a good CCW gun. Make sure you get the pro series, Taurus has fixed all the problems from the previous model. My friend also has one and he loves his also. |

I hate to say it but this is the only gun I have ever sold. No real problems with it, just did not like the trigger or the feel in my hands. I had bought it new at a terrific price and then sold it under consignment at another gunshop at a fucking profit. I know, I know, I could hardly believe it either. Anyway, I bought a baby Glock with night sights and was much happier. |

I have had the PT111 Mill Pro and the PT145 Mill Pro for CCW. Both 3rd gens, shot great very reliable, not one problem. The PT145 45acp is an awesome CCW gun with 10+1 capacity, and HIGHLY accurate. I only shot it of hand, but in reviews it has done 1.5" groups at 25yards from a bench. That is great for a short barreled CCW piece. I just sold my Pt111 9mm as I am sticking to .45acp for ccw and reload it anyways. |

A friend of mine just bought the 45 millinium pro and the slide lock failed after the first mag. Other than that it seems like an ok gun. It feals nice in my hand but sucks that a brand new gun is malfunctioning. I guess that is what you get for $300h.gif I really liked it when he picked it up but I think I will just stick to my XD's for now. |

Brand new Taurus PT-145 purchased in early August after trying my friends gun which was like a rolex. Mine? Auto racked the slide on the first mag. Several other times it auto racked. Mags began falling out of the gun(there are a LOT of issues like this on other forums). Aside from these hang-ups...the gun was accurate and I liked it. Taurus' service is QUITE slow. Mine is there and has been logged since Sep 5. I was told that it'd be a MINIMUM of 6-8 weeks. Hopefully it'll be 100 percent when it gets back, or it's going bye bye. |
| I have a 3rd Gen PT145 Mil Pro (I'm not much a 9mm guy) which I carry every day. I would prefer to carry my wife's 1911, but the PT145 is smaller, lighter, cheaper, can't rust and holds 3 more rounds! I have never had any problems with the weapon and, once you get used to the typically long striker trigger, I hits exactly were it needs to in a normal gunfight distance. I'm not sure you can beat it for the money. |

just got my (edit-this was new in box when i bought it , third generation) pt-140 pro back from taurus. sent it in because it shot 8"-10" low at 50 feet. this was off hand and rested. if the target was big enough where i could see where it hit i could hold about a 3" group with american eagle ammo. what sucks is that taurus had my gun since july and scarred up my slide when they pulled the sights off and replaced them with a pair exactly like the old ones. seems to me i need a lower front sight. but this one measures the same as when i sent it in, and they tightened the set screw so tight the front of the sight was all jacked up in the air. i bought the gun new for $359 before tax and ran about 550 rounds of various brands through it, it has shot this low from round one. any-who i am going to try a set of sights from wilson combat that seem to match my dovetail specs. others on another board claim this has worked for them. in closing this long rant, i would really like this gun if i could do more than tear up dirt clods with it.

a friend of mine bought the 45 milpro and took it to the range. when it came time to break it down and clean it he could not get the slide off. he messed around for a few minutes and found that there was large burr cut into the side of the slide. he took it back to the gun shop and they sent to taurus who took about 4 months to "fix it." all they did was dremel the burr off and send it back to him. he was debating the taurus and a glock 30. guess we know now what he should have bought. i dont know what generation this taurus is though. |
I'll have him write up a how-to, and I'll get some pics of it all, as well....give me a few days though... |
Thanks |

Got a PT-145 new out the box it would not chamber, sent it back. Got it back and still was hanging up but would chamber; slide would not close. Sent it back, they sent it back and said nothing was wrong Much later in time, Gave it to a gunsmith friend of mine he kept it about 2 weeks and said it needed to be broke-in He also put loctite on the sights. After that it is one of the best guns I own. But it does shoot low. |
He also put loctite on the sights.
