I don't think so! You should be very proud of that and dispaly it with pride....always! By the way I just put $$$ on a Springfield Ultra stainless. I'll post a report as soon as I pick it up and test fire it. |
That will be great. Do the Ultra and Micro use the same size mags? I have found with my Micro I need to shoot a little heaver load to keep it running without any hickups. Also you need to hold it like a man because if you limp wrist it it will shut down. I have 5 Chip McCormic mags I need to find the extended bases for. I think with my pinky finger holding on firm it will help control the little gun better too.

Both of the pistols use a officer frame, but in regards to stock mags with these two, if you are using the metal type followers, it will have the follower bump a tad reward than on a officer stock mag. Both of these pistol have a tad bit more slide speed (an under statement), and the mag need to better retain the last round in the mag or you get stove piping on the last round out. Now on the positive side, if you do just happen to stumble onto some good mag officer bodies, Wilson spring and follower kits will get the bodies working and up to 7 rounds, of if you want the better option for cleaning, just go with the 47's from the start (officers mags). |
| I have 5 of the Chip McCormick mags. Have never had a ftf or stove pipe with them. As I said before if I use a lighter load sometimes I have a problem. I also went to a heavy recoil spring and had to pull it as that also gave me problems. The Micro runs just fine now and other than needing to polish the ramp now and again I trust is with my life as a carry gun. |
+1 I use the 7rd McCormick mags with absolutely no ill effects at all. My Micro is my CCL as well. I used to have a Champion I bought used. SOB never would run right & would lock the slide back before an empty mag could. Not a good thing, obviously. It got sold REAL fast. My Micro has been 100% after the first 75-100rds, no hiccups at all. |
