I just bought my first pistol (S&W M&P 9) and I was interested in the durability of magazines and how much abuse they can take. I have been watching some USPSA and IDPA videos and when reloading, some people are basically throwing their magazines down.

Also, who are some suppliers of M&P 9 magazines and how do they all differ in terms of quality?

Thanks for your help!

If they are factory M&P mags, they will all be of the same quality. I'd recommend staying away from Promag.

I have carry mags and range mags. My range mags get the hell beat out of them including being dropped partially or fully loaded on rocks and concrete. I've not had a mag failure yet. I know eventually the abuse will cause them to start to fail. That's why I have dedicated training mags.

That's a really good idea. I guess it's time to invest money in a lot of magazines!
