| I guess I should have asked this question before I bought it but what do you all think of the Lone Wolf S/S Guide Rod Assembly? I dont like how the factory guide is made of plastic just seems this would be a part prone to breaking. |

I hear you, but the guide rods hold up pretty well. With all the Glocks out there, it would have shown up to be a problem by now. The good news is the price. Replace them often. I have seen a torture test on you tube where a guy shoots 1000rds in like 15mins and the plastic rod melts off. Better be safe then sorry, you know for those times you have to send a hole lot of lead down range

| The recoil spring assembly for the 17, 18, 22, 24, 31, 34, 35, and 37 are all the same. The end should have "5579" stamped on the end. Newer rods are also marked with a "1" opposite the "5579". These are made from Zytel and are more resistant to high temperatures. The change was made because people were leaving the slides locked back on G18s and the rod was bent when it cooled. Metal guide rods are not needed. My old G23 still has the original, non-captive recoil spring and it's fine after somewhere around 50k rounds. |
