This is my Colt XSE .38 Super LWT Commander which I converted to Winchester 9x23. It is my primary carry pistol. Since purchasing it new early this year, I've added a narrow thumb safety, beavertail grip safety, and checkered steel mainspring housing all from Wilson Combat. Also, a set of XS Sight Systems Big Dot 24/7 tritium sights, custom NJSP Alumagrips, and Nowlin Winchester 9x23 barrel. I keep it loaded with Winchester 9x23 125 gr. Silvertips in Wilson Combat 9-round .38 Super magazines. I did all the work myself and am very satisfied with the result.

TAG!! One day soon I will have my own 1911 to post up on here, I have plans in the works for a Springfield Mil-spec Stainless. Soon.... Meanwhile you guys keep posting your own beautiful pistols and ill try to keep up.

Dammit! I knew this thread would eventually break me down. I posted on page 2, but now I have to upgrade that 1911's little brother to match. I just got most of the parts in and am about to order the new sights. Work begins this weekend. Here are the before shots with my prior project for reference:   It's getting a proper beavertail, a Novak rear sight (the front stays for now), a new plunger tube, an STI trigger like the other, and a refinish job to match (Moly Resin over zinc parkerizing). No slide serrations or magwell this time, though. |
