I picked up a LCP for $149 at Academy. 1. The top of the mag stops at the mag release and takes a good hard bump to get past it. 2. once past that, the mag wont seat unless i rock it back then forward. I saw a YT vid that shows the mag catch notch should have a small notch. Mine doesn't. Any advice how to get past this issue. I wont keep it if this is normal behavior. Edit: solved. gotiger, I hope it works out for you. I also had that problem with a new FN Reflex. I couldn't even get the last two rounds in a mag without using a Maglula loader. I finally got better also. Good luck with it. It's a nice little gun. |

"crisis" averted. LOL. I watched a vew videos on the LCP. One presenter talked about this. He said the top of the mag base plate hits the bottom of the magwell. He suggested sanding the top down a few thousandths. It came with 2 base plates. Both were hitting. The base plate without the finger rest was .015" thicker. It was impossible to seat. I brought them both down to .230" thick (-.010" on 1, -.025" on the other). Both now seat easily. Both still have good gapping. Looks factory. Base plate injection molds getting worn out making bigger parts. |
