Hey, guys... whatever happened to the KPD? Was this ever released? I remember seeing adds for it and thinking it looked interesting, but I've never seen it for sale anywhere and it's kind of fallen off of the radar. |
| While well intended, the KPD looked terrible. As good as Kimber's 1911s and rifles are, they really blew it with this polymer pistol design. They would've been better off taking more time to perfect a design than to try to peddle such a pathetic design to the public. |

You know, as much as I love my Kimber 1911, I always thought they'd never see enough demand for the KPD, there are just too many other pistols of that type already on the market from a host of other manufacturers. I can see why it was never produced. |
