Ok.....so I an fit 8 G3 mags, 10 FAL mags, 12 Pmag 20rnd, 12 USGI 20rnd into 30cal ammo cans. 15 Pmag 308's fit nicely in a 50cal can, and 28 USGI 30rnd mags fit in a SAW can.
They store nicely, and are conveniently mobile. Any Ideas how to store about 50 plus double stack pistol mags in a similarly convenient manner? |

The drawers seem nice, I think I might put one in the safe.
Cardboard box is pretty close to the tool box I use now, was hoping for something a bit better. My main concern is the fact that nothing holds them securely "apart". They tend to beat against each other, making me worry about scratching them up, and messing up the feed lips. I'd like it to be mobile. It needs to be fairly heavy duty, I prefer to keep the mags loaded. And, it never fails, when I have them all in the box, I always want the one on the bottom, and have to dig them all out to get there. |

I cut the tops off a bunch of small cardboard boxes (like the ones Brownell's used to use) and put them in the drawer. You can stand about10-15 mags up in one of those. |

We use Sterilite drawers to store magazines also, but they may be a bit light for loaded magazines. I wouldn't worry about a few scratches. If rattling around in a drawer could damage a magazine, I'd think about a different pistol. |
