Ok, so I managed to lose the damn hammer strut pin while polishing up my hammer on a new pistol. Now I can't even shoot the bloody thing since I don't have any of those pins in my parts box. Who has the best price on shipping for these things? I don't want to buy a 2 dollar pin and spend 5 bucks on shipping for something that fits in a small envelope and costs .37 cents to ship. At least the rest of the pistol looks good

Looks like you need to put together a Brownells order big enough to make it worth while

Yeah, I was trying to avoid that, I can't afford to be buying parts I don't need at the moment. So besides brownells where else is there? I am still fairly new to the 1911 having only been playing with them for about a year so I don't know the best places to shop for them. Is Brownells my only choice?

I ordered a spring from e-gunparts.com, and they taped it to my invoice, and threw it in an envelope.

I bet if you sent them an email before you made the order, they could verify shipping cost.

Use a drill bit shaft.  Find the size that's snug, cut to length, install, enjoy.

...you'll get my bill...

Email me your address and I'll send you one for free.  I have a whole bunch of them at the shop and I'll just tape one to a piece of paper and mail it to you.  It will cost me a whopping Fourty some cents.

Email me at [email protected] with your address and I'll have it out on Thursday when I get back to the shop.

Bob is a stand up guy. I am pretty broke right now, but when I get back from AT in a few weeks I will be buying a new MSH from him, maybe more! As I told him in email, he has earned a new customer.

Pin is on it's way.

Let me know when you get it.  I don't know if there can be any problems with those auto sorters in mail rooms and little metal parts, so if you don't see it after a week, I'll send you another in a padded envalope.

Take care,
Bob
