Here's my semi-custom Glock 19.  Rounded and raised trigger guard, and if you compared it to another Glock, you might be able to tell that I removed the downward hook on the beavertail.  Ameriglo Pro-Operators are in store for it.  ETA:  I also sanded down to trigger safety a little bit, to give the trigger face a bit more of a flat feel.  I figured it might give me a more consistent trigger pull.

Thanks CLICKBANGBANG.  Like everything else, the right gear helps.  I use a 20D with a Quantum flash mounted off camera.

Better than some of the pics I've seen that looked like they were shot with a cell phone, through a dirty window, using a zippo as a flash.

Try using a light, patterned background (I use a piece of ACU cloth for pretty much everything) and point the barrel into the frame instead of out. Google composing photographs and the rule of thirds, I'm betting there's better info out there than I can give.

Yep. Good clean background, good room lighting, and adjustable aperture and shutter speed help allot. I usually take pics from -2 to 2 seconds in small increments for the shutter speed, pick the one I like the best. I just use a point and shoot that has these settings. Dont forget the tripod, and never use the flash.

Try covering the flash with a single layer of tissue or something similar...it should diffuse the direct flash a bit.  Still some nice looking pics though.

Thanks for the tip. I have seen professional diffusers for the larger flashes but never thought to do this to the stock flash.

Thanks! I like taking better than before pictures. Then playing with the pics on whatever little program and dumb effect will make them look cool. I usually don't post them and just use them as an Iphone background pic. My wife was just yelling at me "Your using a $700 camera to take stupid pictures of a $1,300 pile of guns! You have expensive fetishes!"

These are my latest backgrounds.

I updated it a bit a few years ago to a USPSA 'Limited' configuration:

My custom Glock G24 I put together in 2009 (note that it has a solid slide):
