I bought my wife a Taurus PT1911 for christmas and she has shot it several times.  But she does have smaller hands so I would like to get her a smaller trigger to help.  Is there anyone out there that sells just the GI style triggers?

Something like the trigger in this:

Why don't you call Springfield up and see if you can order one?  They sell parts directly.

Three results on Midway's site:

www.midwayusa.com/esearch.exe/search?search_keywords=1911+short+trigger&category_selector=all_products&Click+to+Begin+Search.x=0&Click+to+Begin+Search.y=0

Probably more there, and at Brownell's, if you just browse the triggers.

Midway, (as mentioned) The keyword to search on is "short trigger"

I'd go with the Cylinder and Slide model myself.

I got a couple USGI triggers on ebay for my Springfield Inc. GI, but any short trigger will do if that's all you want.

The stamped, knurled USGI triggers are are reasonably easy to find at a decent price.  The milled ones are hard to find and $pendy.  Hope this helps
