I picked up a G20 Gen4, and didn't do my homework. I have read on few different forums that there are some problems with this pistol and full power ammo. What should I be on the look out for?

Mark I don't know. I have a G 20 GEN three and it's been 100% reliable with full power ammo, a lot of it. I would think with the new double spring guide rod it would even be better.

Right off the top of my head, the only issue I'd ever heard of regarding the G20/29, was a minor lack of chamber support. It only mattered if you where reloading, and unless I'm mistaken it was addressed by Glock. I wouldn't worry at all firing full power loads thru a Gen4 G20.

I have one of the all FDE G20 gen4's from Lipseys and it has been 100% for me. I only have about 400 rounds through it so far but it has never had a problem. Most of what has been through it is Buffalo Bore 180s and a few Remington UMC's.

Don't worry, just shoot it and love it!

Shouldn't have anything to worry about.  I had a G20 Gen4 and shot some very warm loads out of it, but just keep yours eyes open for issues.  If the spent brass has excessive bulging then don't use that ammo, much of the "full power" 10mm ammo out there is somewhat overpressure.  But, you have to go a little over to give the numbers that most expect out of the 10mm anymore.

I have a late gen 3 20SF (made in late 2013) and my brother has a gen 4. they both shoot my warm reloads just fine (180g XTP @ 1350fps). I think the problem are with the gen 2's.

The chamber support issue has largely been addressed. If I was going out today to pick up a 10mm pistol I'd get a Gen 4 G20 and not think twice.
