I am new to this section so bare with me. I am sure this has been talked about over and over but I want/need to know: 1. What are the downfalls of the G19, if any? What are some things that you dislike about it? 2. What upgrades did you do to your G19? new sights, grip, whatever. If there are links to the answers of these questions please post. Thanks ETA: I am talking about the G19 gen3/4. Im not sure if the 4 is out yet. |
The finger grooves on the 3rd gen G19 suck. They are too small. With gloves on my fingers don't even fits in the grooves at all. It's not a big deal, since I usually don't shoot it with gloves on, but it's an annoyance. The G17 finger grooves are better, but I would rather have none at all. I hate finger grooves.
I put Heinie sights on it. That's it. IMO the G19 is the best handgun on the market. It's perfectly sized, holds 15 rounds, and is extremely durable and reliable. I just wish they were available with the light rail but no finger grooves. I haven't had the balls to grind the finger grooves off of mine yet.

Yeah I saw that thread on people removing them, and I dont think I will be doing that. the only way I am removing them is if I have a pro do it. Hopefully the grooves dont annoy me too much. Thanks for the info. |
