Hello All,

Recently purchased a Gen3 Glock 22.  I tried putting it on my 23 G4 frame and it didn't seem to lock up properly...  Now I know this can be done, is there something I need to do/purchase to be able to do this?

I know on Lone Wolfs site they have a dust cover, would this help?

G22 and G23 barrels for one are not interchangeable .... The full size barrel is different than the compact\sub barrels a G23 barrel will work in a G27 but not a G22 in a G23.

Are you trying to make a commander Glock?

I put the whole slide assembly of the 22 gen3 on the frame of my 23 gen 4 and it didn't quite work... I was just trying to see if they would fit together and see how it would shoot

Which includes the barrel that will not work.

The area that accommodates the recoil spring (some call it the pig nose) on the gen 4 slide is larger than that on the gen 3 slide, so the gen 4 slide will not properly fit on the gen 3 frame, however the gen 3 slide will fit on a gen 4 frame, but there will be space around that same area.   However, that only applies to like size frames...  full size/full size, compact/compact, etc.   The locking blocks are different for the frame sizes and I don't believe the slides and frames can be interchanged in the same way.

Thats what I thought.  Can I buy a Glock 35 slide to put on the 22 frame as long as its a Gen3 slide?

Yes you can do a G17,34,22,35,17L,24 slide.  If you were to go 9mm slide you just need to change the ejector.

Yes, the entire frame assembly is identical between the Gen3 22 and Gen3 35, barring any extended controls.

I just did this myself recently.
I have a G22 and purchased an aftermarket G35 slide. I have not shot it yet but the slide fits perfect and hand cycles rounds fine.
