And first post!!!

Hey everyone, I've been lurking around here for awhile (learned alot of useful info) and I figured it was time to make an account.

I just got a brand new Glock 23 gen4 last week.

I love this gun!!! I actually traded it in for my full size S&W M&P40. I liked the S&W but I love the Glock more.

I do have a few questions though. (I've shot Glocks before but this is my first I've owned)

Whenever I reassemble my gun, I always put the guide rod into the little crescent shaped cutout under the barrel. But, EVERY time I disassemble it, it always seems like the guide rod has moved out of position slightly. It's still there, but it's not set all the way into that little groove. Is this a problem?

Also, I wanted to know the scoop on the gen 4's. A buddy of mine had a G23 gen 3 that performed flawlessly. I've heard of the gen 4's having problems when they were first released. I really hope they worked the bugs out by now. I believe mine was made this year, April if I remember.

Anyways, Thanks for any help guys, I'm excited to be a part of this forum!

Guide rod moving is normal!

Don't listen to the internet trolls about Glock issues, just buy ammo.... shoot.... repeat!

Gen4's have been out for a while, and the initial issues did not involve the G23's.
