hey guys been consider my first, thinking about the SA loaded, seems to be the best bang for you buck out there.

What can I expect from this pistol?

What makes say a wilson so much better?

I'm new to 1911's but not to guns.

I've been told 1911's are kind of finicky

all help is much appreciated, thanks@

the SA loadeds wont let you down--they are great 1911s for the price

the difference: quality, fit, finish, detail, manf, and parts

I have two 1911s now, both chambered in 9mm. The one I bought last year, it is a Springfield loaded 1911 which shoots extremely well. The other I recently bought and it is a custom built 1911 primarily built with Caspian parts, on a double stack Caspian frame. The Caspian is completely chromed which makes everything extremely slick and you can tell the difference between the two handguns. The Caspian took my friend about 80-100 hours to assemble and properly fit the gun, everything is extremely tight! It is nice to have an anal retentive friend to build guns for you. The Springfield doesn't have quite the same tight fitting as my other 1911 but it is still one of the best out of the box 1911s that I have shot. You can't go wrong with the Springfield Loaded firearms.

P.S. I wouldn't enjoy carrying around the 1911 as a carry gun since it is so bulky and heavy, I use a Springfield XD-9 Sub-compact as my carry gun.

It all comes down to a good holster and personal preference.  I prefer a 1911 over a Sig 228.

ETA - It's a commander size 1911 in a VM2 holster.
