Which end of the extractor spring assembly goes into the slide first? Should the metal rod in first or should the spring and plastic cap go in first?

The metal end goes first. ONe thing he told us in the armorer class was to remember "metal to metal and plastic to plastic" when puttting your GLOCK back together.
