What is the point of flattening and adding serrations to the top and rear of slide? Is it strictly for looks?  Monk |
| A flattened and serrated slide top, in addition to be a cosmetic modification, will help reduce glare of the slide top and most importantly facilitate the use of a taller front sight. Rear slide serrations, like serrations on a slide top or sight face, will help reduce glare. |
