After reading the STI thread about them also banning sales & service to CA, I mentioned they would be my next handgun purchase. Sadly, this is not to be the case................  Is the following considered to be a compromise on my part? I paid $990.00 for ANIB, never been fired & still has all registration/warranty papers in the box. I spoke to the gun shop owner after I picked it up yesterday & I asked him what the owner traded it in on. Said shop owner claimed he couldn't remember, but did recall the guy said he owned 3-4 Baer's so he could stand to part with one..........

You've got better eyes than *I* do then...........  Aside from a bit lighter trigger, I can't think of a thing I'd really want to change on this gun. I'm not into the ambi safeties & extended geegaws, personally. No, I think I'm gonna leave this puppy just as it is & enjoy the hell out of it..............  Now, if I can only find that guy who used to beat me in the RSO bullseye matches with his Wilson 1911, I'd love to play a bit of "catch-up"..................
