Don’t ask why but I got the Sig P239 bug, I have a SAS and regular 239, both in 9mm inbound. Thoughts on yours? |

I also have spare barrels in 9mm and .357 Sig (along w/ dedicated spare mags in those calibers ), but have rarely shot those. Between the two guns I have like, 15 .40-cal 7-rd mags. Still, I felt these guns needed upgrading. The SigLite night sights were dead in both guns by the time I got them, so new Trijicons were installed. The factory triggers were replaced with SRT kits. Then super struts and reduced-power hammer springs replaced those factory parts. These upgrades turned both guns into serious shooters. Eventually, for one gun I bought a Bar-Sto .40 barrel which had to be fitted. Super-accurate for a 3.8” barrel, and that gun currently serves as my range practice ‘beater.’ The other is a regular EDC. This one ….

I found one in 9mm locally for $399. I was impressed with how it shot more like a full-size gun. But the grip has always been too short and awkward for my large hands. After getting a 225, I let the 239 go. Good gun, but it just didn't work for me. Attached File Attached File |

I have had one since 1996ish. I will never sell it for sentimental reasons but it doesn’t really have a place. Glock 19 sized with less capacity. I have an XDs that is smaller and also capacity challenged. It gets some holster time in the summer. The single action break is awesome. Double is smooth but way heavier than it needs to be. I think the whole P22x series is kinda cool. But sold my 220 and 226 because there are more practical options. |
| Like em. I’ve had a 9mm for a while but a few months ago I saw a place had trade in .40s for $350 so I got one of those too. It was damn near nib. I need to find a .357 sig barrel cause I bought some mags off the ee thinking they would work for .40 but apparently this is the one platform that is not the case. |

Attached File I have 2 9mm versions. I installed Trijicon night sights, Hogue G10 checkered grips and a SRT kit in each one. They are excellent shooting pistols. Even though Sig discontinued them, I have enough spare parts to keep them running forever. I still have a stash of .357 Sig ammo. So if I ever manage to find a nice .40 cal or .357 Sig version, it will come home with me.

Chambering was 9mm and there were apparently extended 10-rd mags available. Whether or not they’re outdated by today’s standards, the P239s are still reliable, durable, and accurate little guns. Available upgrades for these guns - like a SRT, super strut, and a slightly lighter hammer strut spring - make them even better shooters. |
| Added the Sig Armorer's Super Strut, silver main spring and his poly spring seat. Also installed the Greyguns SRT sear and safety lever. A new trigger bar spring and I'm done. New factory recoil springs are on the way too. Gun is SMOOTH in da and CRISP in sa. I did not use the blue springs that came with the Greyguns SRT parts. I have a lot of NATO marked 124gr ammo and wanted a stout mainspring. Maybe later I'll swap in a lighter mainspring... |
