Can I have my 229 anodized? It has a lot of holster wear. Would it have any adverse effect on the metalurgy or function? Your P229 is already anodized. Explain yourself. Easy killer...
12_gauge- I assume that you mean "re-anodized", do to wear, correct? It's not really needed..what you could do is have it re-finished, leaving the anodizing underneath. You could send off to any number of companies that do refinishing or do it your self with products like Duracoat-not my favorite-or my favorite, Norrell's moly resin. Spray on finishes like Norrell's are easy to use. I use Norrell's all of the time to refinish. There is Ion Bond, CerraCoat, hard chroming, Dura Coat, etc. Pick one and google. |

Well, I thought it needed explaining. How deeply is the anodizing on the frame worn? What kind of wear? Where? I would contact CCR refinishing. The specialize in this kind of thing. http://www.ccrrefinishing.com/ |
