A recently delivered set of five Colt Government Models representing a substantial investment of time. All built to the identical spec’s except for one gun which got an ambi-safety. Considering these guns were built as identical pieces a single group shot seemed most appropriate.

Those look gorgeous. I don't understand the stainless bushing though. Detracts from the overall finish. I presume there is a reason. Two reasons for the stainless bushing... one being the customers choice the other is visual balance. As you look at the gun the stainless bushing offsets the polished hammer flats while the aluminum trigger shoe offsets the barrel hood (not seen from this angle) which is traditionally left "in the white". For me these opposing accent points provide a more balanced and visually interesting appearance. |
