Dur.  I moved to Imgur then started overloading photo bucket with every photo I have on file.  I was only at 30% before but am trying to max out.  Screw them, I hope they crash and burn.

My google image searches are suffering too because a lot of pictures hosted on Photobucket are no longer visible past the Google thumbnail image.  In a short time Photobucket will disappear.

I've been transferring photos over to Flickr the past two days and it seems fine.  Verizon just bought Yahoo's internet wing and Yahoo owns Flickr, so we'll see how things pan out.

What I love is I got an email about them ceasing 3rd party hosting (and of course offering me a chance to upgrade) today, even though the pictures have been blocked for over a week.

F*ck them.

Follow a few gun guys on Instagram.

Notice the hashtags they use and search them.

This is only one of the forums I post on, so need something more flexible.

Photobucket really fucked up a shit load of good information all over the internet. How To's, tutorials, build documentation, etc. 99% of users won't go back and replace the pictures, on some of the other forums I get on, the OP of a lot of the old useful information isn't even around anymore.

Photobucket should have grandfathered in already posted pictures. Hell even in they sold ads that covered half the picture until you clicked them off would have been better than this.

Correct me if I'm wrong but there is NO way to even view the image that is replaced with their bullshit ransom image.

I have a cross posted tutorial on a 12vdc solar system I put together 5 summers back and it's been archived here on Survival, but over on CandlePowerForums, it allowed me to edit it today and reinsert the images that I've been moving over to Flicker yesterday and today.

I got it done, so I guess I can re-cross posted it back in Survival, here, lol?

If places don't allow you to edit a post, or if they archive it without editing functions, you're SOL.

I mean if I came across your tutorial and you hadn't edited it with new picture links. If I wanted to view those images, could it be done somehow?

No dice unless I ponied up $9.99 a month for 3rd party hosting.

Screw that noise.

There are probably billions of those little boxes floating around the web right now.

A shame, as some good helpful info has been lost.

Every photo in my garage thread got fucked up and no one had any idea why because it was 2 weeks before people on here started to post about it. I guess I was one of the early users to get fucked

Over on other forums like ADVrider there are TONS of threads that are now totally fucked up, no one will ever go back and replace the photos because it is a massive pain in the ass to find the exact photo that was posted to match the already written description that went with the original photo. Photobucket is keen on removing them selves from the internet, good fuck them.
