i was in the helmet..................funny how people look at you on the interstate with your head out the window in kevlar............................. had nothing to do with the ass part

4th vodka and pink grapefruit juice, salt rim, watching twin lab pups play in a dogspa (wading pool) in the back yard. "She of The Large Breasts And Likes Thongs" should be here in a minute or two with a couple o' ribeyes, i already got the grill cleaned out from last night and i'm eyein' my stock o' charcoal thinkin' this is gonna work, got a movie lined out and the whole tommyshack vacuumed, mopped and generally picked up a bit... life is good... didn't get to go shooting today, but life is good, overall.

I'm on number 13 bud light now. I'm recovering from neck surgery and can't drive, I was down to one left and an old friend stopped by to borrow some money and I got his wife to run to the store for me and get another dirty dozen . Now I'm waiting for the Boudan on the grill to get done so I can eat.

There's nothing sadder than the human tragedy of alcoholism. Alcohol is a nerve toxin. The sensation of drunkeness is the onset of death from alcohol poisoning. The fact that our bodies metabolize alcohol, along with the fact that the user usually vomits or passes out before a lethal dosage in injested, keeps most users from dying. Your friends at anheiser busch spend millions per year on advertizing to get you to drink their shitty beer. They are drug pushers, nothing more. The fiction is that a guy "will enjoy a few cold beers with friends". The truth is that 1 person in 14 is an alcoholic. Their lives, and usually the lives of their families are ruined by addiction to a legal drug.  No, I'm not an alcoholic. Thank God for that. No, I don't go around breaking peoples balls about alcohol. I just can't understand why something that causes such utter misery is held in such high esteem and good cheer. |

I don't think of it as bullshit. I think it's sad. I don't blame you or look down on you. I'm sincerely sorry for you and I hope you can work it out somehow. Everyone else can pretend that alcohol is different from other drugs but I've seen a number of people go down the tubes and I know different. You're probably still going to be drunk when you wake up. If you get in an accident this morning, I hope you do jail time. |

Nothing tonight, but I popped the first two bottles of a nice new Amber the other day, 'twas pretty good, but more bitter than I expected. My next brew will either be a stout or a cherry pale ale. Haven't decided yet. We have guests this weekend, so my 'brewery' (AKA 'the Guest Room') is unavailable at the moment. Oh, and Red65, please go preach elsewhere. |
it's all stout, just packaged differently. Interestingly, I don't recall that they even put "stout" on the label anymore, except on the bottle. The cans all say draft. |
