i vote to ban race based threads based solely on the fact that one cannot counter by saying something they truly mean because it would be a COC violation.
would it be better to post those questions on vnnforum or some other place with "freedom" and post links here where users here could join in and express their views a little more freely? just asking, im tired of racial threads where i have to bite my tongue. sincerely yours, englishmastiff |

I always get a kick out of people that say they can't say what the want because COC.
The only reason people get banned is for racial slurs. No ones ever been banned for saying this race is lesser than that. Or this race does such and such, Unless you can't argue without throwing out the n word,

It's simple to avoid this problem. Don't read the "race" threads, and you won't feel bad. ETA: Or you could say what you really want to, and we can ban you. I'm sure whatever it is that you're holding back will be a CoC violation, so just let it out. You'll feel better. |

Don't attack people personally and don't use insults and there will be no problem. Insuls and slurs don't belong in adult discussions anyway. |

A couple years ago I got banned for insulting Muslims while posting in a thread that the OP made specifically about insulting the religion of others. I didn't specifically ask to be banned but if you read my post you would say that I was asking for it. Eighty Second Airborne spanked me for being bad, after I admitted that I fucked up and a week went by he let me out of the corner cause I had learned my lesson. If you have something profound to post create your own thread and be specific about what you expect from other posters. Also remember that this is a private site and that free speech is a privilege here and not a right. |

What the fuck is the deal with the politically correct bullshit here in the US anymore?
Just seems like everyone has been pussified. I don't like that so it shouldn't exist anymore, I don't like the word God so it should be banned in public, the word "african american" offends me.... If you don't like something.. don't pay attention to it or what ever the fuck you have to do to settle your own dislikes.

I disagree OP, my opinion on those types of threads has been that they are very open and free to allow me (and others) to express how I honestly see it. As far as I'm concerned this forum is one of the most generous on the web in regard to exercising free speech. If you don't like it here, there are other places to go....no one is stopping you.
Obviously if all you are interested in is spewing pure hateful shit, then it is a good bet you will be banned. |
The thread should be locked to appease the minority at the risk of hurting someone feelings.
