so just a quick one here:  I've been doing some research and looking at building some semi AK's from kits, us fire control parts, and whatever other parts I need for the correct piece count.  I've noticed that building them from the reciever flats is pretty darn easy(compared to milling out an ar)  I was wondering how many would I be able to build legally for myself?  I've heard around that you can only make one a year but I was just curious before I blow a few hundred on parts and tools.

I doubt you could build one yourself.  The main obstacle is pressing the barrel into the receiver.

Ohio Rapid Fire is a good outfir for assembling AK's with the corect US parts

if the trunnion is still attatched to the barrel it should just be a matter of using hot rivets to attatch it to the new reciever.  so again, how many can I build each year?
